Meet Barb
Charlie was also raised in a single parent household after the death of his father at age 3. Both came into marriage with very little knowledge of how to make a long-term relationship work and they actively sought information from counselors, books and other couples. Much of what they learned is included in this book. Clinical Psychotherapist Barbara is a registered nurse and holds a master's degree in physical and mental health. She is a licensed psychotherapist and has had a private practice specializing in couples and families for over 20 years. Previously the Vice-President of St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was responsible for mental health services and extended care for the hospital system. Barbara is a frequent presenter at professional conventions and is an adjunct faculty member of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Continuing Education. Author and Columnist Barbara is the author of the column, "Success Matters" which appears widely in professional periodicals and on-line, including The Business Journal, NursingMatters, Networking Today, Corporate Logo and others. Barbara Bartlein has been married for over 23 years to Charlie and lives in Bay View, Wisconsin. Her parents divorced when she was thirteen years old due to her father's alcoholism.
